Eagle Dancer Katsina
The eagle dancer is an eye catching figure at all Pueblo dances. Representing a connection between the physical and spiritua world, eagle feathers are also used for healing purposes. Carved by a husband and wife team, katsinas made by Elmer Adams and his wife are colorful, with liberal use of earth toned colors. Their figures have a pleasant simplicity and definitive Hopi style using single piece carving techniques and cottonwood.
